The Cathedral Parish of St. John the Baptist seeks to proclaim and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ through worship, example, and action, recognizing its location in the heart of St. John’s and its responsibility as the Cathedral of the Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador.

Whether you are local or travelling from afar, we invite you to come visit our Cathedral. Tours are offered during the Summer season and the Cathedral is open during Office Hours throughout the year.

(ages 15-30)

The Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is looking for summer tour guides. Duties will include meeting visitors and offering tours of the Cathedral. With the Covid-19 safety guidelines in place you will be required to maintain physical distancing and sanitizing of high touch areas throughout the day. With a combination of training and information learned through written materials you will be able to answer questions relating to the building’s history, architecture, artistic installations (stained glass, sculptures, embroidered artwork, organ, carvings and artifacts) and the relationship of the Anglican Church of Canada.
